Organic Compounds

Organic compounds contain both a carbon and hydrogen atom. Believe it or not, there are 4 main types of organic compounds found in all living things and those are carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids. A few examples of organic compounds are acid, alcohol, carboxylic acid, lipid, methane, oil, and acetone.

Inorganic Compounds

Inorganic compounds do not contain both carbon and hydrogen atom, unlike organic compounds. Water is the richest inorganic compound. As a matter of fact, it makes up over 60% of the cell's volume and more than 90% of the human body fluids, including blood. Some examples of inorganic compounds include table salt or sodium chloride, carbon dioxide, diamond, and sliver.
